Rock the Dress {Dallas Trass the Dress Photographer}

Last night there were 60 photographers and 4 models in wedding dresses (the models were in wedding dresses…not the photographers!) roaming around downtown Dallas! SmugMug Dallas had a trash the dress shootout!

A special thank you to our models, hair stylist, and makeup artist (Morgan Causey and Danielle Escamilla)!!!

Class of 2014: Miss K {Carrollton, Texas Freshman Photographer}

A couple months ago I announced eight18 photography was doing freshman pictures…that would be the class of 2014! It was not my idea….it was Miss K’s! (it could have something to do with her being a freshman!) It is a brilliant idea…think how much someone changes from their freshman year to their senior year. I know I did!

Not only is Miss K beautiful, but she is a rockstar soccer player and one smart cookie! I know…. that great big smile doesn’t look intimidating, but I saw her game face…I’d just give her the soccer ball, she plays to win!

Remember if you book freshman pictures you lock in the rates (session fee and prints) for senior pictures in four years!!!

Cadillac Challenge – Plano {Plano food photographer}

Chefs are the new rock stars…admit it, we all watch the Food network over MTV these days!!! And rock stars always have cool cars… so it makes perfect sense for Cadillac to have a culinary challenge!

Speaking of rockstars.. you may recognize Chef Kent Rathbun from Iron chef!

Chef Scott Gottlich from Bijoux & 2nd Floor made sweet corn ice cream with liquid nitrogen!

Special Olympics Swimming {Dallas Sports Photographer}

For a wonderful year I worked for Special Olympics Oklahoma. I can say besides being a photographer, this was my favorite job ever. My favorite days were the days there were competitions and we were out at the games. I think every athlete should volunteer with Special Olympics so they can learn how to be a team and sportsmanship. Special Olympics athletes and partners are some of the best athletes in the world when it comes to sportsmanship. It isn’t about million dollar signing bonuses…but doing the best you can, and cheering on your friends.

I was thrilled to be able to spend an hour at the Swimming meet in Lewisville this past weekend!
