So what should you wear??  Here are some ideas I love:

Girls:

Okay okay I love Navy, Green and Pink together…throw in some yellow and I am a happy photographer!

1. No girl can live without a cute denim skirt, pair it with this shirt and jacket from GapKids. 2. The cute outfit from Crazy8 screams spring and sun! 3. Navy, pink and polka dots make this dress from Gymboree an instant favorite, extra points for the hat! 4. I can picture this fantastic dress from GapKids paired with a sweater or even over jeans!  5. The pink trench coat is a fun twist on a classic. What a cute outfit from Gymboree. 6. I must have a thing for pink trench coats! This one along with the shirt and dark rinse jeans are from GapKids.

1. Navy and yellow look great together in this outfit from Gymboree 2. You can not go wrong with cargo style jeans, and a hoodie from  Crazy8 3. a button up and a sweater vest is a classic…and can be fun pair with cargo pants from Gymboree. 4. I would give peace and this outfit from Crazy8. Classic athletic style sweatshirt, t-shirt and jeans from GapKids say boy all over it!!

So what should you wear??  Here are some ideas I love:

Baby Girl:

Don’t underestimate the cuteness of denim and bright colors!

1. is from The Children’s Place. Not everyone looks good in yellow, but if your child does, don’t be afraid to dress them in it! 2. Is a great mix of a dress and denim from The Children’s Place 3. is warm and cozy but who doesn’t love red and denim, especially for Valentine’s Day! You can find this cute outfit at Gymboree. 4. Blue and denim is classic, and work year round. The jacket, top and jeans can be found at BabyGap. 5. I love the colors in this jumper… it can be “pear”ed with a cute sweater or leggings when it’s chilly. It can also be found at BabyGap.

Pink and little girls go hand in hand… don’t hesitate to dress your girl in pink!!

1. You can’t go wrong with a classic t-shirt in pink and with puffy sleeves from Old Navy. 2. Dresses are another classic… I love this dress from Chasing Fireflies. it can easily be dressed up or down. 3. Nothing says spring more than the colors green and pink!  This outfit from Gymboree will get a lot of use after the photos are taken! 4. Butterflies, Stripes, and pink… how adorable is this outfit from The Children’s Place?? 5. Bright colors can work through out the year, and this dress from BabyGap can be worn through spring and summer.

Baby Boy:

Boys always look great in the classics: jeans, khakis and button up shirts, but have fun with them and add color, and prints!

1. This classic yellow and blue rugby shirt and denim combo from Gymboree will look fantastic in pictures! 2. A classic button up shirt layered with a sporty t-shirt says boy all over it! This cute outfit can be found at Old Navy. 3. If you are wanting a cute casual look, this hoodie, and t-shirt from The Children’s Place will look great on any little boy! 4. Stripes look cute on kids.. don’t be afraid to mix and match! Love this track jacket, polo, and cargo pant outfit from Old Navy. 5. Layers work great for pictures. This yellow and gray outfit from Macy’s just says “I’m cool”.

Like how pink looks good on girls, blue always works on boys!  1. Sometimes simple layers are the way to go… this shirt and denim combo from The Children’s Place will get a ton of use after photos are taken. 2. Sometimes we want lots of layers!  Why? It’s easy to take off one layer for a new look in the pictures! This 1 outfit from Old Navy will get you at least 3 different looks! 3. Pirates??  yes please!  How cute is this outfit from Gymboree?!? 4. Remember how I said have fun with the classics?  How about mixing this great plaid shirt with railroad striped pants, and a great classic hooded jacket from BabyGap?

Go indy! There are a ton of independent designers that sell their designs at local boutiques or on Etsy (be careful this site is addicting!)

Shorts:  During the summer sessions in Texas…shorts are a must!! These are fun from old navy and look awesome with a polo, or a long sleeve white button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up:

If you don’t feel comfy wearing bright plaid shorts (they are not for every one) plain khaki cargo shorts always work!

Hollister has great casual clothes, and they photograph well too!

Ambercrombie has the same style.

Want to look a little “dressed up”?  If you show up in a vest/jeans..I will love you!  lol…okay maybe like you a lot….I love this look, seen here at j.crew

but why not have fun with the tie?
