I worked on Route 66 images today.  I am just past Flagstaff, AZ when it comes to editing…so I’m on the home stretch.  Some of you have been asking me what I plan on doing with all of these images…well a book of course!  As of today I plan on self publishing them, but maybe I will find a publisher…I have always wanted to see my book in the bargain section at Barns and Noble.  (you know with all the other large photo coffee table books).  They are coming … I promise.

Andi is also local photographer, and cute as a button. Doesn’t she have the best smile ever!?!?  I asked her to bring her sunglasses with her because I’ve never seen her without them, it turns out she has a plethora of them! I’m not kidding she has a gallon size zip-lock full of them!

This is Barbie and her boys.  We had 15 mins to shoot before it started pouring. I adore this shot.

Terry called me to tell me about this barn in the middle of nowhere he had gotten permission to shoot, and wanted to know if i wanted to go…well of course i did!!  This shoot came with a warning of “wear jeans and boots because there are snakes”.  Not, there may be snakes but there ARE snakes.

The final favorite from April is an old International truck in Old Town Lewisville, when I met up with Dustin.

We may experince some blog “blackouts” (I think they are like rolling black-outs) while we update eight18 photography and andie smith photography web pages.

This one is also in Philly….this girl made the entire street smile in her pink and purple jacket/scarf/hat.

I was really glad to get home to Dallas…it warmed up while we were gone…just in time for Dallas Blooms!

Have I told you that my husband and I are Dallas Stars fans?  We LOVE Hockey.  This is him watching Marty Turco warm up..shot with the point and shoot…

Last but not least..A very rare TP-51C (aka P-51 Mustang). Today there are less than five of the early B/C models left flying. The”C” model is easily recognizable by it’s “razorback” configuration as opposed to the P-51D with its “bubble canopy” that came out later in the war.  “Betty Jane” is owned and flown by The Collings Foundation. Isn’t she a beauty?

The stunning Miss Julianna.  I saw her in Whole Foods and told her if she ever wanted pictures taken to please call…she called that afternoon!  We had the session at The Shops at Legacy.

I love war birds…preferably older ones from WWII….but the new ones are just as rad.
